Abstract

The article presents the architecture and practical operation of the aquageo.kz digital platform for collecting, storing, spatially analyzing, and exchanging water-resource data in the Zhambyl region. The study aims to refine the data architecture and telemetry validation rules for a single measurement cross-section. The monitoring unit consists of four POTOK 100 ultrasonic flowmeters installed across one irrigation canal with a 10-minute registration interval. A quality-control scheme is proposed that considers channel synchronization, temporal completeness, instrument ranges, device status, and measurement units. Comparison with the flowmeter documentation revealed an inconsistency: the web interface labels flow values as m³/s, while the instrument specifies m³/h. This issue is incorporated into the validation procedure. The platform also integrates remote sensing data stored in PostgreSQL/PostGIS. The results highlight the need to separate raw measurements, software aggregates, and physically interpretable flow indicators before further analysis and decision-making
