The paper examines modern approaches to ensuring environmental sustainability in the context of the development of the Industry 4.0 concept. Special attention is paid to the tasks of monitoring atmospheric air as an environmental risk management tool. The analysis of existing information and analytical solutions in this field has been carried out, and their limitations related to insufficient data integration and a low level of information security have been identified. An approach to building an intelligent monitoring system based on the combined use of Internet of Things and blockchain technologies is proposed. As part of the research, a database structure has been developed designed to account for stationary sources of pollution and regulate emission quotas. The results obtained can be used to increase the reliability of environmental data, as well as to improve the mechanisms for monitoring atmospheric air quality.
