This article discusses the problem of increasing the cognitive activity of undergraduates in the process of studying profiling disciplines. An analysis of ways to intensify the cognitive activity of students was carried out. The experience of using role-playing games in studying the author's course "Effective management of the project team" is described. The peculiarities of organization and conduct of role-playing games are given, allowing to master competencies of selection of the most effective option of project team management.
