Abstract

In this article you may find the history of entertainment television development in Kazakhstan since the modern period. A brief classification of entertainment television is given and the difficulties of determining the type of entertainment TV shows are discussed. The review of the most popular and discussed TV shows from the group "for all ages" is conducted, based on official
data on ratings of TV programs in Kazakhstan. The trend of development of domestic talk shows is investigated.
