The development of modern science and technology allows us to realize many opportunities that are not yet available. For example, the study of various natural phenomena and their hidden dangers, as well as forecasting, can prevent or intensify preventive measures. The impact, the region and frequency of their occurrence affect our lives to an unprecedented extent. It is very difficult to prevent these events in the short term, but a risk prevention plan can reduce the negative consequences of an accident. The present study is focused on the evaluation of flood potential within Malaya Almatinka river basin in Almaty using four prediсtion models RandomForest, LinearRegression, DecisionTree and XGBoost.
