Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).

  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Submission of the article is carried out through the online system of the website of «journal.iitu.edu.kz» journal.

The article is submitted in electronic format (in .doc, .docx, .rtf formats) ONLY by uploading through the journal's journal.iitu.edu.kz website in the author's profile. To do this, the author must register on the journal's website:  (See: Instructions for registration).

Technical characteristics of the article

The text of the article should contain the following information:

  • IRSTI;
  • Title;
  • Information about authors – name, academic degree, academic rank, position, affiliation (organization), city, country, ORCID iD, e-mail;
  • Abstract;
  • Keywords;
  • The main text of the article;
  • Footnotes (if required);
  • References;
  • Romanized references list "References".

International Rubricator of Scientific and Technical Information (IRSTI) – data that show the branch of scientific knowledge of the research. It should be located in the upper left corner.

Below, through a line in the center, is the title of the article in capital letters, bold.

The next line contains information about the authors: name (full name) in lowercase letters, in bold in the center. If there are several authors, then the names of the authors are given in the order of their contribution to the writing of the article, while the name of the main author is written first. Superscript characters (1) and (2) indicate affiliations (organization name, city, country), and an asterisk (*) superscript character indicates the corresponding author (for example, Zh. Dosbayev1,*, L. Ilipbayeva2, A. Suliman1). If two authors are representatives of the same organization, then both of them are marked with a superscript symbol (1).

After one interval, according to the numbering, complete information on the affiliation (organization, city, country) is given. The details of each superscript character (1) are given on a separate line!

After one space, an explanation is given to the superscript character (*) as a corresponding author. The next line contains the email addresses of all authors. Next to the author's name, it is desirable to indicate his ORCID iD, which is affixed with a hyperlink to the author's iD profile (see Example).

Abstract – reveals the content of the article, the problem stated and the purpose of the study, it reflects the essential facts, the main arguments and position of the author, as well as the results of the study. The recommended length of the abstract is 100–150 words.

Key words are the most significant words in the article. Key words characterize the subject and area of ​​research as accurately as possible. They include basic concepts, issues, geographic terms and other aspects that reveal the content of the article. Single words and phrases can be used as key words. The recommended number of key words is 5–7.

IRSTI, the title of the article, information about the authors, abstract and keywords are given in Kazakh, Russian and English.

The main text of the article includes:

  1. Introduction (relevance of the research issue);
  2. Materials and methods (ways to achieve the research goal);
  3. Discussion (describes who researched the topic);
  4. Results (main part of the article);
  5. Conclusion (findings);
  6. Acknowledgments (if the article was made with the financial support of a scientific foundation);

Explanations of the text should be made in footnotes.

For references in the text parentheses are used, which indicate: for monograph -  the author's surname, the year of publication and the number of the page used is given after a colon (Sadykov, 2023: 106).

The bibliography is given at the end of the article in the "References" section strictly in alphabetical order without numbering.

The section References the literature should be given strictly in alphabetical order without numbering and contain at least 20 titles, include relevant works on the topic of the article published by well-known researchers over the past few years (the inclusion of sources in English is mandatory). When citing archival sources, the names of the archives in the first mention are written in full, with an indication in brackets of the accepted abbreviation, which is used in the future, for example, the Central State Archives of the Republic of Kazakhstan (CSA RK).

The section "References" contains bibliographic information in English, transliteration of the list of used literature. At the same time, the titles of works in languages ​​using non-latinized alphabets are given in transliteration, that is, they are transmitted by means of the Latin alphabet, then their semantic translation into English is given in brackets, at the end the original language is indicated in square brackets [In Kazakh / In Russian]. If the book is cited, the name of the publisher (if it is the name of the institution) must be translated into English, in all other cases must be transliterated, the place of publication – translated.

Graphs, figures and photographs are inserted into the text after the first mention of them in a form convenient for the author with a link in parentheses. There can be no more than 5 illustrations per article. Illustration captions are centered after the word "Table" with a sequence number. Above each table, its name is given after the word "Table" with a sequence number. The only figure and table is not numbered in the text.

Formatting:

The text is typed in Word, font Times New Roman, size – 12, spacing – single.

Margins: top and bottom – 2 cm, left – 3 cm, right – 1 cm.

The indentation of the first line of the paragraph is 1 cm.

Pages should be numbered.

Length:

For articles: the maximum length of the article (including abstracts, bibliography, notes) is 4000-7000 words.

For reviews: the maximum review length is 500-1000 words. The output of the book under review should be given in full, including the publisher, the number of pages, and the names of the editors in charge or compilers (in the case of reviewing collections of materials).

Texts of articles that are not designed according to the requirements are not accepted for publication.
